UKTV has announced that Stacey Dooley will be discovering more unusual lifestyles of American families in a second series of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA.
The first series saw Dooley stay with Autumn, a 9-year-old GunTuber (someone who shares their collection of weapons on YouTube) who lives with her parents in Oklahoma, Mya and Kennedy, a transgender mother and father living in Virginia, and Cheryl and Quran, a Georgian couple with a 37 year age gap.
The new series will explore similarly modern themes, including attitudes to love, relationships, marriage, parenting and money. More information on the families and locations Dooley is visiting will be revealed in due course.
Emile Nawagamuwa, Commissioning Executive of UKTV, commissioned the series. He said: "It's fantastic to see Stacey head back to the US for more sleepovers. Now more than ever families are playing by their own rules and seeing the US, so familiar yet so different, through Stacey's eyes is an incredibly compelling proposition."
Commenting on the ongoing success of the series on W Channel, Director of the channel, Adam Collings, said: "Stacey's wit, warmth and ability to have insightful conversations with individuals has made this show a big favourite with the W audience.
"The series offers a unique opportunity to get an in-depth look at different types of family life and I'm thrilled that we've been able to extend it further.
Meanwhile, a one-off special, Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over: Family and Me, will air on W and UKTV Play later in Summer 2023.
Filming for Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA will begin later in 2023, to air on W and UKTV Play in 2024.
