To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee which marks her 70-year reign, Dame Darcy Bussell sets out on a royal adventure following in the footsteps of the Queen. 

Her journey will see her travel across the landscapes of Britain and visit the locations which have shaped the monarch’s identity. 

In each of the four episodes, Dame Bussell will travel to a certain region of the country, from London to the Highlands of Scotland, from the Norfolk Broads to the Welsh Borders. 

Dame Bussell wants to discover the parts of Britain the Queen loves the most and why.

Part of her journey will include taking part in the Queen’s favourite activities from hiking the Scottish Highlands, to sampling the cuisine of Norfolk and horse racing at Ascot. 

Along the way, Dame Bussell will explore surprising places and meet unexpected people who have been touched by the Queen. 

Dame Darcey Bussell commented: “I’m thrilled to be making another series for More4, especially one in which I get to follow in the footsteps of Her Majesty. I’ve always had a deep and abiding affection for the Queen, so I’m particularly looking forward to embarking on this celebratory road trip.”
