MTV’s latest reality series will delve into the lives of young royals and aristocrats from around the world.
The six-part series will see nine aristocratic individuals from the UK, Russia, Austria, Nigeria, Ireland and America live together in a mansion in the British countryside.
The Royal World will take a look at their privileged lives and reveal the people behind the prestigious titles. With royal fever still abuzz following the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the series promises a glimpse at life of young royals as they navigate their way through their twenties as part of society's elite.
“MTV has a deep-rooted history of shining a light on original characters and unique subcultures," said Kerry Taylor, EVP Youth & Music and co-head of MTV International. "The Royal World brings this to a whole new level."
Katy Manley, Creative Director of Initial, the production company behind the new show, added: “The Royal World is a brilliantly entertaining show that invites you into a world which is utterly closed to most of us – the world of young, titled royals and aristocrats. Expect headline grabbing gossip that’ll leave palaces squirming as we get to know the real people behind the title."
The series will air later this year on MTV’s international network of channels and digital platforms.
