The BBC has commissioned Stacey & Joe, a reality series following the lives of Stacey Solomon (Sort Your Life Out) and Joe Swash (EastEnders).

Viewers will be welcomed into Pickle Cottage, home not only to the couple, but also their five children, four ducks and two dogs. The kids – or Joe and Stacey’s ‘pickles’ – are aged between one and 16, and looking after all of them is no picnic. Add on top of that hectic work schedules and even more hectic personal projects, like building a two-acre fishing lake, and things only get more intense.

The show will be made by Optomen, the indie behind Stacey’s home decluttering reality show Sort Your Life Out.

“This team just made sense,” explained Stacey. “We’ve loved showing a different side to our family’s fun and chaos. We can’t wait for you to join us at Pickle Cottage this year.”

“Over the years, we’ve been asked a lot to do a show like this, but getting the opportunity to work with the BBC and Optomen felt properly exciting. There will be the normal madness of a family with lots of kids, plenty of animals and two busy parents. Here we go!” said Joe.

The six-part series will air on BBC One and be available on BBC iPlayer.
