First look trailer for Italian drama Blocco 181 released by Sky.
Set against the backdrop of multicultural Milan with a soundtrack of rap and reggaeton, Blocco 181 tells the story of love and crime.
On the outskirts of Milan sits a commanding apartment complex in the fictional block 181, which contains residents Bea (Laura Osmo), Mahdi (Andrea Dodero) and Ludo (Alessandro Piavani).
Despite coming from very different backgrounds, the trio shares a strong bond that challenges the status quo and will see them navigate love, sex, family crime and emancipation.
Bea is Latin-American and conflicted between choosing her family, the dangerous Misa gang, or forging her own path. Ludo and Mahdi are close like brothers but from different social classes.
Italian rapper Salmo acts as music supervisor and creative producer and plays the dangerous Snake who is the right-hand man to Lorenzo (Alessandro Tedeschi), a drug dealer and childhood friend of Rizzo (Alessio Praticò), the neighbourhood’s head honcho.
The eight-part series, directed by Giuseppe Capotondi, Ciro Visco and Matteo Bonifazio, is the first Italian in house production from Sky Studios.
Blocco 181 is coming to Sky Atlantic and Now on 22 June.
