The Language of Love
Tuesday
Channel 4, 10.00pm
Is love a universal language? That’s the question Channel 4 are attempting to answer with its new romantic reality series, moving single Brits and Spaniards into the same Andalusian estate to see if they can strike up connections in spite of a complete language barrier.
Hosts Davina McCall and Ricky Merino will be watching over the matchmaking and setting challenges along the way to “test whether love is deeper than just words.” But either way, if the teaser clip is anything to go by it should make for an entertaining culture clash.
Screw
Thursday
Channel 4, 9.00pm
Derry Girls’ Jamie-Lee O’Donnell stars in this darkly comic look at life behind bars in an all-male prison, inspired by writer Rob Williams’ own experience of working in prisons.
O’Donnell plays Rose, a new ‘screw’ (prison officer) joining the inscrutable chief officer Leigh (Nina Sosanya) and her staff at Long Marsh men’s prison. Having devoted her life to the job, Leigh runs the tightest of ships, so the job proves a baptism of fire for Rose.
The Apprentice

After two long years off the air, Lord Alan Sugar returns to put wannabe entrepreneurs through their paces.
As always, he is in search of a new business partner from a group of sixteen candidates, who he will observe as they undertake a series of tough tasks. Joining Lord Sugar in the boardroom for this series are regular associate Karren Brady and former contestant Tim Campbell.
