RTS Scotland Student Television Awards 2023
This exciting and prestigious event showcases the best Student Film and Television work being made in Scotland.
Entries have been submitted from across the nation by undergraduates preparing to start in the industry. The ceremony is judged by industry professionals and provides noteworthy recognition of outstanding talent and originality.
Awards will be presented for four categories:
- Animation
- Factual
- Drama
- Comedy & Entertainment
In addition, five Craft categories will also be announced on the night to celebrate the production skills of some of the most talented students in the country. The craft awards recognise:
- Production Design
- Sound
- Editing
- Camera
- Writing

For attendees (whether experienced or new entrants interested in the business), it's a great opportunity to see the creative talent coming through and meet and mingle. Relaxed networking takes place straight after the Awards with the professional judging panels and industry experts on hand to say hello.
This years fantastic host is STV's Laura Boyd.
STV have supported the RTS Student Awards over the past few years, and we are delighted that they'll be doing the same for 2023.
To bring the Awards Ceremony to a wider audience, event highlights, nominated & winning films will be available on the STV player.

TICKETS
All tickets receive a welcome drink and canapés.

CATERING
All guests receive a drinks token with their ticket and can order almost anything from the bar from soft drinks to prosecco, beer or a spirit (sorry - no doubles!).
Food is organised to be served as canapés after the awards. Vegetarian, vegan & dairy free options will be available.

18:00 Arrival for welcome reception, with welcome drink
19:10 Take your seat (General admission, unreserved seating)
19:15 Award Ceremony begins - and is followed by canapés & networking
22:00 Event end
SEATING
The Awards operate with general admission theatre style seating in the stalls and balcony, making it easy for everyone to sit with those they want to.
Please note that nominees will be allocated seating in the stalls that allows them to easy access the stage should they be required to collect an award.

FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY WARNING
By taking part in this event, you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group's aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media and press releases.

Official photographs of nominees and winners will be taken after the ceremony and shared through RTS Scotland social media.
VENUE ACCESS
Unfixed theatre seating is available in the stalls. A lift is available and provides access to this area.
Fixed cushioned "pew" bench style seating is available in the balcony. Unfortunately, no lift is available for this area and there are approximately 15 steps to climb.
