The RTS NW annual student and industry networking day once again returns to dock10 at Media City.

This event provides a fantastic opportunity for the region's Higher Education students graduating this year or next and those who have graduated in the last twelve months to engage and network with media industry professionals!

Students and graduates will meet the region’s key professionals and production companies and be encouraged to make links with the organisations who can support them on the next steps of their journey. Previous attendees have gained placements and shadowing opportunities, as well as employment opportunities.

Four panel sessions take place across the morning, highlighting routes into the screen and media sectors through the different roles and skills, next steps, and specialisms. The panels will also explore changes within the media industry with a focus on creativity, AI, and immersive storytelling.

Recent graduates will talk about their own experiences, giving an insight into their top networking tips and techniques.

The Lunchtime sessions offer an opportunity to put networking skills to good use as screen sector professionals, producers and leaders of Northwest based organisations join the students and recent graduates for informal conversations and advice.

Five industry led workshops take place during the afternoon. Attendees chooses their preferred workshop from a variety of genres and specialisms, such as scripted development, AI and Virtual Production, sports journalism, and unscripted ideas development.

Attending the day equips students with further understanding of routes into early career roles, connects them with industry professionals and employers, and offers advice about how to successfully navigate the world of freelance careers.

We look forward to seeing you on the day!

Tickets are issued on a first come first served basis and are non-transferable.
