Centre Event
With the Olympic Park as an iconic sporting backdrop, BT took part of the completely empty International Broadcast Centre used for the London Olympics in 2012 and, in only about 5 months, transformed it into a leading edge production facility for BTSport launching three channels in the summer of 2013.
This innovative L-shaped studio can cope with three live broadcasts simultaneously and forms the largest LED-lit studios in the world. It has an under-lit glass floor which can feature up to eight different pitch markings allowing for in-studio practical demonstration of sports techniques. The studio features 27 customisable screens driven by a 'Spyder' control system allowing integration of visual social media elements and its central tower hub of 13 screens enable video backgrounds for all the programmes.
RTS London and BT Sport are able to offer a limited number of RTS members a tour of this future-facing facility on Thursday, 6th February at 1030. Spaces will be offered on a first-come, first served basis.
