During the current pandemic more people have been tuning in to their regional television news programmes than for many years.
The situation in the United Kingdom has seen various different levels of infection and lockdown but nothing can compare to the ITV Granada area which covers the highly infectious North West of England with the now Covid free Isle of Man.
The Royal Television Society are holding a special zoom conference event linking the Head of News Lucy West and Granada’s Isle of Man reporter Josh Stokes to explain how they are covering the story from both sides of the Irish Sea.
The panel will also be looking at the bigger picture of reporting the very diverse region on a regular basis and finding out about those challenges where the Isle of Man makes up only about 1% of the audience.
Ex Granada and BBC North West correspondent Paul Moulton will be hosting the show and you are also welcome to submit questions during the Zoom conference.
