RTS Cymru Wales hosts a very special event to celebrate a quarter of a century of the nation’s favourite daytime antiques show.
Join the programme makers, presenters and experts for a Q&A on all things Bargain Hunt, as they reveal some of the secrets behind the success of this iconic daytime TV series, followed by a drinks reception.
When Bargain Hunt first hit our screens in March 2000 with dapper antiques dealer David Dickinson at the helm, viewers quickly became hooked on a fun format that has stood the test of time. With one hour on the clock, a red and a blue team compete to find antiques and collectables that will make a profit at auction. And if they're really lucky, they'll take home the ultimate prize - a golden gavel!
Made by BBC Studios in Cardiff, the production team travels across the UK to make almost a hundred new episodes a year, watched by up to two million viewers every day. To celebrate this milestone birthday, the presenters and experts filmed a special episode at a street party like no other, to look back on some of the many highlights from the programme's history. From primetime shows, live auctions and a world tour, to an on-screen marriage proposal and even a celebrity cheating scandal!
