The Future of Local Television: A Debate

Monday 30th April

7.30pm - 9.30pm

Come along and find what the future holds as we enter a new era in local broadcasting.

With the awarding of the Local TV licence in Leeds, a new era for local broadcasting has begun. What will that mean for television professionals and production companies in thr Yorkshire Region? Also, what relationship will these new channels have with existing local broadcasting both at the BBC and ITV?

RTS Yorkshire has invited professionals from all sides to attend what we hope will be a spirited and informative debate on this and other issues. We hope that it will be of interest to both established television professionals and those hoping to make a career in television.

Speakers will be announced once confirmed,

The debate is free and open to everyone.

Speakers

Duncan Wood - ITV/Calendar

Isi Abebe - Made in Leeds TV

Tim Smith - BBC Look North
