RTS NI PROGRAMME AWARDS 2016
Belfast indie Erica Starling Productions was the big winner on the night, taking home two prizes from the Northern Ireland Programme Awards 2016.
Find Me a Family, a BBC One NI series that followed the lives of children through the care system,scooped the Factual Award, while Kids in Crisis for Channel 4’s Dispatches took the Current Affairs Award.

The awards recognise programmes which have made a positive contribution to their genre through their originality, innovation or supremely high standard, and from which other programme makers can learn and develop. These criteria of originality, creative risk-taking and standard setting quality apply to the performance as well.
This year sees some significant changes following discussions with judges and entering companies:
RTS Midlands Awards 2016
This years awards will be presented at a gala dinner held at The National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull on the evening of Thursday 3rd November. Our compere for the evening will be ITV News Central's Sameena Ali Khan.
Television Journalism Awards 2017
The awards, for both news and current affairs, seek to recognise creative and excellent journalism by organisations whose broadcasts are transmitted on a UK-based platform or who create online video content from a UK production base.

RTS Southern Centre Awards 2015
Over two hundred people attended the RTS Southern Centre Awards Dinner at Winchester Guildhall on March 6th hosted by the South’s star presenters, ITV’s Fred Dinenage and the BBC’s Sally Taylor.
The TV industry in the south often suffers from a talent drain to nearby London. So it was good to celebrate the quality work of ten indie companies and four broadcast centres who maintain significant production in the region.

RTS Southern Centre Professional and Student Awards
Winchester Guildhall Friday March 4th 2016
Two hundred people joined presenters Sally Taylor and Fred Dinenage for the Southern Centre Annual Professional and Student Awards held at Winchester Guildhall on March 4.th They were there to celebrate the professional work of BBC South East, ITV Meridian, BBC South, eight indies and student productions from four southern universities.
