Viacom partners with Facebook Watch to launch Stax on MTV in the UK

MTV UK has announced a partnership with Facebook to launch Stax, a new interactive game show on Facebook Watch.

Launching today and free to play, the quiz show will be broadcast live on the platform three times a week for ten weeks, and sees players answering pop culture questions.

Hosted by MTV news presenters such as Tinea Taylor and Tyler west, players will also have the chance to win a share of a big cash prize.

“We are always exploring new and innovative ways to engage and entertain our audiences, so we’re excited to be working with Facebook Watch as one of their first UK launch partners” commented Joanna Wells, Digital Content Vice President for MTV.

“We know that there’s a great appetite at the moment for live interactive quiz shows and our fans are tapped into popular culture, so this feel like a very natural fit for MTV.”

Stax follows a similar format to Confetti, a game show launched last year using Facebook Watch’s new interactive functionality.

MTV UK, part of Viacom International Media Networks, has also recently announced Geordie Cribs, a four-part series which will also be available on Facebook Watch later this month.
