The final day of 2019 calls for reflection and most importantly celebration. As the clock ticks down to midnight, there’s a whole host of entertainment on TV to look back at the hilarious moments of the past year, and to look forwards as we enter a new decade.

Jools Holland’s quintessential musical celebration returns this New Year with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

Joining them will be musical artists from across the decades to herald in the 2020s, including Brittany Howard, La Roux, Rick Astley, YolanDa Brown and one of the most popular acts of the year, Stormzy.

Alongside the performances, Jools will be chatting to special guests from the world of film, TV and comedy about their plans and predictions for the year ahead.

In this New Year’s special Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker will be taking a look back at 2019 and all its ups and downs.

The Last Leg team will be joined by a host of celebrity guests, including Sue Perkins, Sara Pascoe, Tom Davies, Rosie Jones and racing driver Billy Morgan.

Alex Brooker aims to make history as the first disabled person in history to complete a high-speed lap in a racing car at Donington Park; one of his most daring challenges to date.

Meanwhile, the studio bar will be manned by none other than Johnny Vegas, with the Horne Section band providing the music.

Graham Norton returns for his New Year’s Eve chat show special, joined by Stephen Graham (The Virtues), Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse, actress Florence Pugh (Little Women), boxer Anthony Joshua and red sofa favourite, Tom Hanks.  

Hanks will be chatting about his latest film A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood, while Merchant discusses his new drama White House Farm and Mabuse reflects on her first series on Strictly.

Music will be provided by former Spice Girl Melanie C and Sink the Pink.
