Sky has released a high-octane, action-packed trailer for the highly anticipated return of Gangs of London.
Created by Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery, the drama's second series picks up one year after the death of Sean Wallace. The map and soul of the city have been redrawn after the violent reckonings of series one, with the surviving Wallaces scattered, the Dumanis broken and estranged, and Elliot now being forced to work for the investors.
With the city sliding into chaos, the investors bring in reinforcements to restore control. As sworn enemies join forces and family members betray each other, the fight back against the new order is on, but only one side can win the battle for London’s soul.
Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù reprises his role as the ex-undercover cop Elliot, with Paapa Essiedu, Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, Orli Shuka, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Brian Vernel, Narges Rashidi, Asif Raza and Valene Kane are all returning to the cast.
Joining the ensemble cast will be Waleed Zuaiter (Baghdad Central) as Koba, French rapper Jasmine Armando makes her TV debut as Saba, Fady El-Sayed (A Private War) as Faz, Salem Kali (Un Prophete) as Basem and Aymen Hamdouchi (Criminal UK) as Hakim.
Series two of Gangs of London is set to air on Sky and NOW in 2022.
