BBC Three has announced two new documentaries series from popular documentary filmmakers Stacey Dooley and Reggie Yates.

Reggie Yates: Worst Weeks

Reggie Yates: Worst Weeks comes fresh off the back of Reggie’s Best Presenter win at the RTS Programme Awards 2016.

He was, in fact, unable to attend the ceremony because he was filming one episode of the Worst Weeks series.

The two-part series will place Reggie in intense situations for one brutal week, asking questions from the inside.

For his first week, Reggie enters the dangerous Bexar County jail in Texas – incidentally where he filmed his award acceptance speech, below.

Around a quarter of the inmates at Bexar County jail have a diagnosed mental illness, and Reggie explores how the American justice system can treat inmates with these conditions.

Then he heads south to join the Mexican army in Acapulco, formerly one of the most popular Mexican beach resorts, it is now known as one of the most dangerous cities in the world.

Reggie will be embedded on the front lines of the war against drugs and will experience the difficulties involved in trying to combat them.

Brainwashing Stacey Dooley

Brainwashing Stacey Dooley (w/t) is a three-part series that takes Stacey away from her traditional investigative role and immerses her in world of radical views.

From the sports hunting community to the anti-abortion movement to the radical women’s rights group, the Gulabi Gang, Stacey will sign up to live, breathe and train 24/7 with these groups.

Under the watchful eye of experts and leaders within these intensely ideological worlds, Stacey will experience the compulsive power of these extreme groups.
