The BBC iPlayer series Mimi on a Mission will be moving to CBBC, the production company Peggy Pictures has announced.
Under the new title Mimi & Co, the CBBC series will see influencer Mimi Missfit try a host of exciting new activities with her family and friends that push her further out of her comfort zone, from trapezing with her sister Erika to ballet dancing with her friend Koladet.
Through pre-recorded videos from Nigeria with her mum Beatrice, Aunty and Grandma, Mimi & Co will offer an insight into Mimi’s African heritage. Teens from across the UK will also be sharing their unique cultures and interests, such as Bar Mitzvah celebrations, Chinese mid-Autumn festival and Halloween trick or treating on a Gypsy Traveller site.
The series has been produced by Peggy Pictures, a new female-led content studio run by Danni Davis and Ida Bruusgaard.
Mimi on a Mission: Digital Detox is currently available on iPlayer, showing a group of British teens swapping their phones and home comforts for a return to nature, camping in a tent and exploring the great outdoors.
Mimi & Co will air on CBBC from 16th October.
