ITV has launched the #ITVKidsCreate project to encourage kids to show off their creative side, by submitting artwork which could be broadcast on ITV’s idents.

The special project will allow kids stuck at home during the COVID-19 crisis to get involved and stay busy.

Kids can use pens, pencils and paints to create their original artwork and if chosen it will be projected onto the ITV logo idents during advert breaks.

As many pieces of artwork as possible will be shown and each child will be credited.

Parents and guardians can submit the artwork via Twitter or Instagram using #ITVKidsCreate and @itv.

Submissions close midnight Sunday 19th April, with the chosen submissions set to air from Monday 20th April to Sunday 26th April.

Director of Viewer Marketing, Paul Ridsdale commented: “We know that keeping children entertained at home can be a challenge in the current climate, so we thought this project was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the nation's budding artists, whilst also hopefully offering parents some support."

ITV Kids Create is a continuation of the existing ident approach ITV Creates, which launched at the start of 2019 in a bid to give a platform to UK talent.

A current ITV Creates ident running on the channel, is by On The Mend and features NHS staff and their creations.
