Husband and wife duo John Torode and Lisa Faulkner are teaming up for a new series of John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.
To adhere to social distancing rules, series four will be filmed later this month at the Television Centre Studios in London with a minimal crew and will air on ITV on Saturday mornings.
With restaurants closed and the lockdown still in place, people are cooking more than ever, and John and Lisa are here to help viewers with accessible, interesting and easy-to-make meal ideas for families.
Each episode has a different food theme and John and Lisa will use kitchen cupboard basics, which many people will already have, and offer at home hacks.
A new addition this series is how-to-demos of different techniques, from making pasta from scratch, to cooking the perfect aubergine, the pair will show viewers how easy it is to learn new skills.
John Torode believes food has always been a big part of people’s lives, including his own, and the lockdown has made it even more important.
He said: “Great food, cooked with a smile brings us a sense of comfort, happiness and warmth, nostalgia and hope.
“Lisa and I are so looking forward to opening up John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen again and inviting you all in for tips, treats, ideas and great food to inspire and share together. See you at the Weekend…”
Lisa Faulkner commented: “We feel extremely lucky to be able to bring viewers a new series of our show during the current climate and can’t wait for them to share with us all they have been cooking at home.”
The series is sponsored by Waitrose and the recipes can be found here.
Series five is scheduled to air later this year.
