Channel 4 has announced the returning cast for Big Boys, as series two of the heartwarming comedy drama starts filming.
Big Boys focuses on Jack, played by Dylan Llewellyn (Derry Girls), who, in series one, began his university degree recovering from the death of his father and coming to terms with his sexuality. When he was thrown together with the slightly mature student Danny, played by Jon Pointing (Plebs), the two began an unlikely friendship.
Series two will follow the boys as they enter second year at Brent University. The year is 2014, and while Jack deals with his obsession with Alison Hammond and the desire to lose his virginity, Danny finds himself journeying into his past to learn to cope with his mental health issues.
Returning to Big Boys alongside Pointing and Llewellyn will be Katy Wix (Ghosts), Camille Coduri (Him & Her), Izuka Hoyle (The Outpost), Olisa Odele (Chewing Gum), Harriet Webb (I May Destroy You) and Annette Badland (Ted Lasso).
Big Boys creator Jack Rooke said: “Big Boys will start second year even dafter, sillier and BIGGER than before! Fresh from Derry Girls, we have pinched Dylan Llewellyn back to play Jack, alongside BAFTA nominee Jon Pointing and recent BAFTA Scotland winner Izuka Hoyle as Danny & Corinne.
"The nation's favourite gay icons Camille Coduri and Olisa Odele return to mischief as Peggy and Yemi. We’ve got more of the hilarious Harriet Webb as party-planning Cousin Shannon, with the legendary Annette Badland as Nan Bingo. And lastly, as I speak, I am watching Katy Wix in an orange polo shirt with a cheeky VK in one hand and a huge foam finger on the other. It is a dream come true!”
