Talented television professionals in Bristol and the West of England now have an extra chance to be recognised for their work, after the RTS extended the deadline for submissions to their awards. 

Entrants now have until midnight on Friday (4 December) to apply via the RTS website. 

The Gala Awards Party and Presentation Ceremony will take place at the Bristol Old Vic on Sunday 6 March 2016.

This year's West of England Awards will recognise film and drama produced and filmed in the region and acknowledge the sheer quality and range of projects being made.

It features a number of Network Television categories - from factual to natural history to children’s. On-screen talent is also encouraged to enter the awards and the RTS would like to encourage new faces.

Amongst the exceptional craft skills represented are Cinematography, Sound and Director along with Graphics, Visual FX and Composer. The extraordinary skills of digital media in the region will be recognised with the Digital Creativity award. Excellence in news will be lauded with categories including Best Reporter and News Coverage.

Submission fees are £41.67 + £8.33 VAT per entry and full payment must be made by 4 December 2015 for the entry to be eligible for judging. 

The closing date for entries is midnight on 4 December 2015.
