RTS Republic of Ireland members received a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour of RTÉ One hit Dancing with the Stars in early March.
The celebrity dancing show, which started its second series in January, is filmed at Ardmore Studios Film Factory, County Wicklow.
“Our colleagues, most of whom have worked over the years on big light entertainment productions, were most impressed with the amazing high-tech studio set up and facilities,” said RoI Chair Charles Byrne.
“As one of our members said during the tour, ‘It must be like producing the Eurovision Song Contest transmission every week for its 12-week run.’
“I would like to thank Larry Bass, CEO of ShinAwiL Productions, which makes Dancing with the Stars, production manager Eamon Fox, lighting designer Peter Canning and production designer Fiona Cunningham for the fantastic welcome and tour.”
