Channel 4 has commissioned a new one-off show, Sex Tips in Isolation, hosted by Anna Richardson, investigating the sex habits of Britain during the coronavirus lockdown.
From couples isolating together who are still enjoying the honeymoon period, to cohabitating couples stuck in a rut, or even singletons who want to spice up their phone sex, the show will reveal what people get up to behind closed doors, along with some handy 'how to' guides.
Richardson also shares the results of a specially commissioned poll which exposes how people’s relationships and habits have changed during the lockdown.
With so much more spare time, Brits are also turning to self-pleasure, with Ann Summers reporting a 27% increase in sex toy sales compared to the same time last year.
It’s not just Brits who are getting in the mood, Lelo, a Swedish luxury sex toy retailer has seen a 40% increase in sales.
Turning to social media for inspiration, Richardson will also talk to members of the public, celebrities and experts to find out about their sexual adventures in lockdown.
Produced by Curve Media, Executive Producer Camilla Lewis said: “If there’s one good thing that has come out of lockdown, it seems to be that more Brits than ever before are having sex, enjoying sex, and exploring things they never would have dreamed of before.
“This show reflects the resilience of the British people, and how love during lockdown can not only survive…but thrive.”
