Today, the business delivers award-winning broadband and WiFi connectivity as well as providing an innovative connected entertainment service, which brings together live TV, thousands of hours of on-demand programming and a wide-selection of apps to customers at home or on-the-go through tablets and smartphones. Through Virgin TV, customers have the option of traditional TV bundles via Virgin TV 360 and V6 boxes, or subscription-based TV viewing via Stream from Virgin Media, which offers flexible 30-day contracts so customers can pick and choose the TV they want to watch and pay for.
Its fixed network covers more than half of the country, alongside a mobile network that covers 99% of the nation’s population, with 5G services live in more than 2,100 towns and cities. The company is on track to reach 50% population 5G coverage in 2023. Virgin Media O2 is upgrading its fixed network to full fibre to the premises with completion in 2028.
