Football’s Gambling Addiction

Football is known as the beautiful game, but the game does not always stay beautiful when mixed with gambling. 

In this documentary, journalist and avid football fan Ruth Davidson explores how the popularity of football betting has increased, as well as gambling advertising and the innovation of new technology. 

All of which has led to concern about the potential harm to fans, especially younger ones who can find themselves addicted to gambling on the sport.

Glow Up: Britain’s Next Makeup Star

The finale of series three of Glow Up will determine which aspiring makeup artist will become Britain’s next star. 

The contestants have competed in challenges involving prosthetics, TikTok, a campaign for Superdrug and makeup looks for Pose, Peaky Blinders and a Jonas Blue music video. 

The final three include Sophie, a make-up student who likes bold colourful makeup and has a penchant for prosthetics, Dolli, a make-up artist, beauty broadcaster at Selfridges and mother to a little girl, and Craig, a make-up artist and stylist who loves looks from everyday glam to Halloween scary.  

Loki

Known as the God of Mischief, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is back to cause trouble.

The series is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame in which an alternate version of Loki creates a new timeline. 

This alternate version of Loki is taken in front of the Time Variance Authority, an organisation outside of time and space that monitors the timeline. 

Loki is given an ultimatum: help fix the timeline and stop a greater threat or be erased from existence completely. 

Despite having no choice but to go along with the missions to try and fix the timeline, Loki is carefully plotting away in the background.

Lupin

Gentleman thief Assane Diop (Omar Sy) is back, and this time he is on the run as the most wanted man in France. 

Diop is a Parisian janitor who was inspired by Arsène Lupin, a gentleman thief as a child, and has since mastered the art of disguise and sleight of hand. 

Part one saw Diop using his unique skills to attempt to avenge his father, who took his own life after being set up by the wealthy Pelligrini family. 

The first part ended on a cliffhanger with Diop’s son having been abducted by the Pelligrini family. 

The Wall

EastEnders actor Danny Dyer is back presenting heart racing game show The Wall. 

Contestants play in pairs, one will face the wall which is divided into seven numbered drop zones, above which red and green balls will be dropped and randomly land in one of fifteen money slots which determines the amount in the prize fund.

The second contestant is faced with answering general knowledge questions and if they answer correctly a green ball will be dropped adding money to their prize fund, however, if they answer incorrectly a red ball drops which takes money away.
