RTS National Event

As Pride 2017 draws to a close, June Sarpong hosts a panel to discuss LGBTQ representation in continuing drama.

Actors and programme makers from the BBC, Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks will be on the panel to analyse storylines, issues raised and tackled and determine whether their fiction has been a help or a hindrance in reality.

Presenter June Sarpong will host a panel including Coronation Street's Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy Mayhew in the soap, Hollyoaks' Annie Wallace (Sally St. Claire) and executive producer Bryan Kirkwood. They will be joined by Emmerdale series producer Iain MacLeod and Oliver Kent, Head of Continuing Drama at BBC Studios.

The event is held partnership with ITV and Pride in the City.
