This week Eastenders Kat and Alfie get their own spin-off show on BBC One, Taskmaster is back with even more wacky tasks for guests to complete and historian Tom Holland looks at the deep-rooted issues behind the rise of Isis.

The Fake News Show

The Fake News Show is back! Stephen Mangan returns as host, bringing viewers up to speed with false claims and alternative facts in line with the upcoming UK General Election.
Katherine Ryan and Richard Osman will act as team captains, joined by Miles Jupp and Stanley Johnson.
Tuesday:
Taskmaster
Dave, 9pm
The Taskmaster team is back again this week with more ridiculous tasks to complete.
Last week some of the tasks included where to camouflage themselves without being spotted and to persuade a bunch of dogs to stand on a mat at the same time. Who knows where the wild imaginations of the competitors will take us this time.
Wednesday:
Isis: The Origins of Violence
Channel 4, 9pm
In this documentary, historian Tom Holland traces the origins of Isis. He looks into the group's justification for violence, trying to identify the reasoning behind their persecution of minorities.
Holland looks at whether this is a reaction of Westernisation, or something much deeper.
Thursday:
Kat and Alfie: Redwater
BBC One, 8pm
Eastenders Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie (Shane Ritchie) Moon arrive in Redwater, a picturesque Irish harbour village, where celebrations are in full flow for a lively annual fundraiser.
They're there to track down Kat's long-lost son, but Kat's quest for the truth turns up secrets the rest of the village would rather leave buried.
Despite promising Alfie that she will keep a low profile, Kat is already on the hunt for her son. However this causes rifts amongst Redwater and Kat is on the brink of revealing her identity...
Friday:
The Last Leg

RTS award-winning trio Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker return for a brand news series of The Last Leg.
Armando Iannucci joins the boys for a humorous look at the week’s events and the latest election news.
Saturday:
Doctor Who
BBC One, 7.25pm
This week the Doctor is summoned to the Vatican to help translate an ancient book called The Veritas, which causes death to anyone that reads it.
The book has spread online, exposing it’s deadly contents to millions and the only way to solve the problem is for the Doctor to read the book himself, but will he be able to find the answer in time?
Sunday:
The Trial: A Murder in the Family
Channel 4, 9pm
The five-part courtroom drama-documentary series will see a fictitious murder trial authentically tried in a court by a team of practicing QCs, a judge and a jury of 12 members of the public.
Michael Gould will play defendant Simon Davis, who pleads not guilty for the murder of his wife.
The series will reveal the inner workings of the justice system through the theatrical trial and show the twists and turns of a murder trial.
