This week sees the return of some of the nation's best loved series; with a restyled line up in Top Gear, a new case to investigate in Broadchurch, and brand new episodes of the sitcom Catastrophe, as well as an exciting new daily late night entertainment show.
Monday: Broadchurch
ITV, 9pm
The third series of the award-winning drama goes back to it's roots with a new crime to shake the quiet Dorset town once again.
Coronation Street's Julie Hesmondhalgh returns to ITV's screens as the victim of a serious sexual assault, with detective duo Ellie Miller (Olivia Coleman) and Alec Hardy (David Tennant) to investigate the trauma, with faces old and new emerging for the case.
Tuesday: Catastrophe
Channel 4, 10pm
The RTS award-winning sitcom starring Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney picks up from the exact moment the second series finale left off, which saw an open-mouthed Rob about to confront Sharon on her suspected infidelity.
Catastrophe follows the dysfunctional couple as they hilariously navigate their way through modern family life through witty exchanges and realistically honest moments.
The series also showcases the final performance from the late Carrie Fisher as Rob's mother, Mia.
Wednesday: The Nightly Show
ITV, 10pm
David Walliams hosts the first week of the brand new The Nightly Show, influenced by the success of the American late night entertainment show culture.
The daily late night entertainment show, which will replace the News At Ten in an eight-week run, will feature a dynamic mix of celebrity guests, topical monologues, studio games and video clips.
Thursday: Extremely British Muslims
Channel 4, 10pm
Channel 4 takes a look at British Muslim life in this revealing new series, with intimate access to Birmingham's Central Mosque and the lives of it's community.
The first episode All the Single Muslims explores the lives of young men and women in the community looking for love and the conflict that comes with the expectation of older generations and modern dating.
Friday: Lethal Weapon
ITV, 9pm
The US action drama, adapted from the 1980s film franchise of the same name, stars Clayne Crawford as Martin Riggs, an ex-Navy SEAL who takes a detective job in California in an attempt to start afresh following the death of his wife and unborn child.
The unbalanced detective is partnered with reluctant veteran detective Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) to work in the crime-ridden city of Los Angeles.
Saturday: Let's Sing and Dance for Comic Relief
BBC One, 7pm
BBC's favourite comedy duo Mel and Sue are back to host the star-studded celebrity four-part live special in aid of Red Nose Day.
Viewers will be given the chance to vote for their favourite act as celebrities, including radio DJs Rickie and Melvin and actress and comedian Sara Pascoe, compete against each other in front of an all-star panel of Frank Skinner, Jo Brand and Paul O'Grady in the first week of the charity competition.
Sunday: Top Gear
BBC Two, 8pm
Following the departure of Chris Evans, Top Gear returns for its 24th series with a brand new look.
The revamped series is reminiscent of the original format, with a presenting trio of Matt LeBlanc, Rory Reid and Chris Harris taking over Sunday nights with new challenges, more laughs and even better motors.
Reid sees the new presenting dynamic as a positive change for the series, commenting, “I think they’re going to go up a level and create something that’s better than they have done for the past few series.”
