Krishnan Guru-Murthy is one of the main presenters of Channel 4 News, reports for the foreign affairs series Unreported World and commentates on major live events for Channel 4 such as the Paralympics Ceremonies.
His career started after leaving school in 1988 presenting BBC Two youth programme Open to Question. He went on to join BBC One’s Newsround while studying PPE at Oxford University and then reported for Newsnight before working on the launch of the BBC News channel.
In 1998 Krishnan was poached by Channel 4 for rather less than The Great British Bake Off and as well as the news and live debates has anchored some of its most controversial event programmes including The Autopsy, How Racist Are You? and Going Cold Turkey.
