Know the difference between working in Comedy Entertainment and Sitcom?  Scripted and non scripted? What key skills make you most likely to succeed?  Our brilliant panel, chaired by Safeword and Tool Academy presenter Rick Edwards, will share their own experiences and top tips for forging a successful career in comedy.
 
James Farrell is a Producer with both studio and single-camera experience. He started his career making coffee for Simon Cowell on The X Factor and is now a Producer on the BAFTA award-winning sitcom Mrs. Brown’s Boys.  He produced Crims and Flat TV. James is a Broadcast Hotshot and one of Edinburgh International Television Festival's Ones to Watch. Carol Baffour-Awuah is a Comedy Entertainment Producer and has worked on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Britain’s Got Talent, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Chatty Man and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show. Daniell Morrisey is Head of Talent for BBC Comedy and is the person who hires off screen talent to make BBC Comedy shows. He encourages new and diverse talent to work in TV comedy. Lucy Armitage is a TV & radio producer who has produced Benidorm and Together and is currently working on a pilot with Matt Lucas. Gavin O'Grady is a Director and writer for Channel 4's 10 O’Clock LiveAlternative Election Night , BBC Sports Relief and Duck Quacks Don't Echo (Sky1). Gavin also makes the web series Happy Now.
