More than eight teams did battle in one of the most fiercely competitive Annual Review events in years. Running across 4 rounds, which covered the media review for 2011, especially stretching was the new cryptic round of TV programmes, which tickled the brain cells with such clues as 'Depressed Apostle' *, a mindbender round, and finally the picture round.
A narrow win for the team led by the Vice-Chair of the North East and the Border Centre, Garth Jeffery. Rosewood Riff Raff were presented with the coveted Alto Trophy by the quizmaster Tony Edwards, at Newcastle’s Live Theatre.
Sharing second place were Kevin and NFMish, and there was also a tie for the next position, between Down Turn Abbey and Bodacia.
A superb buffet helped fuel the energies of the teams, who applauded organisers Tony, with his wife Carole and Graeme Aldous (who created the 1st round).
