London 2012 was the first truly digital Olympic Games. The BBC delivered every minute of Olympic action to audiences across a range of new digital platforms and devices; hear how the BBC delivered this historic Olympic moment and also gained experience 'in the use of Super Hi-Vision'
The presentation will be in two parts:
Delivering the First Digital Olympic Games – Tim Plyming previously leading the ‘Digital Olympics’ project for the BBC’s 2012 Olympic team will outline the ambition that the BBC had when London was awarded the Games and talk through the process of delivery of the ambition.
The First Super Hi-Vision Olympic Games – John Zubrzycki, Section Leader - BBC Research & Development and technical lead for the Olympic Super Hi-Vision project will describe the Hi Vision coverage of the Games, which was an important stage in broadcasting history.
