Beef will return for a second series, with an all-new cast and storyline exploring another disagreement that just won’t go away, Netflix has announced.
Series one aired in 2022, starring Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and Ali Wong (Always Be My Maybe). The two played a pair of strangers who refuse to forgive each other after a road rage incident.
The second series will feature Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), Charles Melton (May December), Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus), and Yuh-Jung Youn (Pachinko). The eight-episode season will take place in the stifling white-collar world of a country club, overseen by its Korean billionaire owner.
When a couple witness a nasty fight between their boss and his wife, they fall head-first into a game of influence and coercion. The twists and turns that follow aren’t pretty, and can only get worse before they get better. If they get better, that is.
Yeung and Wong were executive producers on the first series, roles to which they will return for series two. Lee Sung Jin will also reprise his roles as creator, showrunner and executive producer.
