Channel 4 has announced the contestants for the 18th series of Taskmaster.
The comedy gameshow is fronted, as ever, by the indomitable Greg Davies (Never Mind the Buzzcocks) and the… domitable Alex Horne (8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown).
Joining the duo will be comedians Rosie Jones (Live at the Apollo), Jack Dee (Lead Balloon) and Babatunde Aléshé (Celebrity Gogglebox). Andy Zaltzman (Celebrity Mastermind) and Emma Sidi (A Whole Lifetime with Jamie Demetriou) will also appear in the new series.
Jack Dee has been performing stand-up since the mid-1980s. Rosie Jones got her start in 2015 writing on panel shows, and has since fronted shows like Trip Hazard: My Great British Adventure and Out of Order.
Although best known as a comic, Babatunde Aléshé has made appearances as an actor on shows like New Tricks and EastEnders. Emma Sidi played one of the lead roles in sitcom Starstruck, which follows Jessie (Rose Matafeo) after a one-night stand with a movie star.
During the early stages of his career, Andy Zaltzman worked closely with John Oliver (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver), including on podcast The Bugle. Zaltzman has also been the permanent host of BBC Radio 4 topical panel show The News Quiz since 2020.
Series 18 of Taskmaster will air on Channel 4 later in 2024.
