Channel 4 has announced that Taskmaster's "little" Alex Horne and his band The Horne Section are tuning up for a second series of their musical sitcom.
The debut series, which aired in 2022, won widespread critical acclaim, with the likes of The Guardian saying "this riotously fun sitcom is an utter delight."
Alex Horne and The Horne Section will once again write and star in the series, but this time they have enlisted the internationally renowned musician and comedian Reggie Watts. Also joining the cast for the second series are Ronni Ancona (Friday Night Live), Kiell Smith-Bynoe (Ghosts), Stevie Martin (8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown) and Anna Crilly (Horrible Histories: The Movie).
Returning to the cast are Desiree Burch, Georgia Tennant (Staged) and Camille Ucan (Lee and Dean), and Tim Key and John Oliver as special guests.
Horne has been working with the band since 2010, when they first performed together at the Edinburgh Fringe. Together they also host The Horne Section Podcast, and have completed three series of Alex Horne Presents The Horne Section on BBC Radio 4.
