Media Panel & Networking Event - October 2024
The screen sector is facing some of its biggest challenges yet, leading to opportunities and employment in the industry becoming harder to find, and raising concerns about the long-term viability of careers in the sector.
RTS North West invited guests to an informal panel and networking event to discuss opportunities and next generation talent schemes and pathways established in the region by the industry to support and encourage those keen to pursue careers in the media.
Chaired by Cameron Roach, (Chair of RTS North West), a panel of industry professionals from BBC Apprenticeships, HOME, Northern Sister, RTS Bursary Scholars, Screen Manchester, and Quay Street Productions discssed the current media landscapes and the opportunities out there for new and early-career talent. The audience got involved in the conversation with their questions and observations.
RTS North West continues to build, support and sustain a vibrant and energised community of TV and media practitioners and professionals, and this event provided a great opportunity for socialising and networking as well as hearing the panel discussion.
