LIFE IN THE AIR: WHY BRISTOL LEADS THE WAY IN
NATURAL HISTORY FILMMAKING

RTS Bristol brings you a rare opportunity to spend the evening in the company of Bristol's world-famous Natural History Unit.

This is your chance to meet the NHU face to face; view excerpts from and discuss their latest visual feast, Life in the Air; and find out more about wildlife film-making by putting questions to some of their most experienced producers on anything from innovative shooting techniques and specialist equipment to their approach to ethical issues and social media.

The panel will include three NHU stalwarts: Executive Producer Tim Scoones;  Series Producer James Brickell; and Producer Simon Bell.  Between them they have travelled to the ends of the earth, staked out every imaginable creature and produced some of Britain's best loved natural history programming in recent years, including Springwatch, Planet Earth Live, Nature's Weirdest Events, Great Barrier Reef, Hidden Kingdom, Natural World, Orangutan Diary and Deadly 60.

In addition to showcasing their most recent project, the panel will take general questions from the floor, and there will be further opportunity to continue the discussion at the BBC bar afterwards.  The evening will be hosted by RTS Bristol Chair, Lynn Barlow.

RTS members:  Free

Non RTS members:  £5  (includes drink in BBC bar after session)

If you wish to attend you will need to register for a place via Eventbrite:  https://lifeintheair.eventbrite.co.uk
