Surrey University's Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing research includes work on signal processing, pattern recognition, computer vision and artificial intelligence.

 

Surrey University's Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing research includes work on signal processing, pattern recognition, computer vision and artificial intelligence.

Activities span multimedia applications, digital broadcast production, biometric authentication, document analysis, medical imaging, automatic visual inspection, mobile robotics, remote sensing and dynamic 3D object and environment modelling.

The presentation will be hosted by Dr Philip Jackson - Director of Media Engineering and Chair of the Media Engineering Steering Committee.

Dr Jackson will provide a presentation on his own areas of research which include spatial audio processing. A tour of the facilities will follow.

This is a free event, run and organised by your local RTS and is open to all people interested in the future of television - personally and professionally.
