“How do we get the pictures back?"
This is a rare opportunity to see how the BBC receives and distributes television pictures into Broadcasting House in Cardiff, whether they arrive via a live link from a satellite truck, a feed from a local studio, or from an event on the other side of the world. There will be an opportunity to learn about the technologies involved, along with a brief discussion about how techniques to provide live links and down-the-line material have evolved.
Numbers for this visit are limited to eight. In addition, I would be grateful if any wheelchair users wishing to attend could contact me beforehand to arrange ramp access.
I would be very grateful if you could let me know as soon as possible if you wish to attend, as a list of attendees has to be provided beforehand to the BBC. To book a place please send me an e-mail, hywel@aim.uk.com
or call me on 07980 007 841.
