There's a lot of talk about "4K" and "4k", but what actually is Ultra High Definition TV?  The presentation will explain how UHDTV is about more than just increasing the resolution of the TV signal, and that what we are seeing at present is only the first step towards the next broadcast system.  Higher frame rates, improved audio, wider colour-space, greater bit-depth and higher dynamic range are also important features, and some of the parameters are still being thrashed out by the standards bodies.

Demonstrations will include UHDT material with 4k resolution, comparison of conventional and higher frame rates and also of higher dynamic range. HDR will be demonstrated by material shot at the recent New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
