TV and Film Music Rights Workshop

We're delighted to offer this workshop specifically for Bristol's TV & Film community in partnership with Bristol Media.

Understanding music rights has become an essential part of a production as the landscape for music copyright and clearances is becoming an ever-increasing complicated area. Inadvertent oversights is not a defence for inaccurately cleared music!

Anne Miller (Director of TV and Film, Accorder Music Publishing/peermusic UK) will cover music copyright, music licensing, the Broadcast Blankets, the IPC agreement, the MCPS Production music agreement, international programme sales and music rights and how to budget for music and retention of rights for original score.

This workshop will take place at The Square Club from 3.30-5.30pm on Monday 25th November. The ticket price is £20 for Bristol Media, RTS and Square Club members, otherwise £30

Accorder Music is a frontrunner in music publishing for film, TV and games music. In July 2018, Accorder became a part of peermusic, the largest independent music publisher in the world. They work with producers, production companies and composers around the world ensuring they maximise music royalty revenues and achieve the very best creative results. In today’s dynamic media business, producers and composers require an experienced yet technologically advanced music publishing company with a world view.

Anne Miller is the founder of Accorder Music Publishing and a highly experienced film & TV music publisher and music supervisor.

Her team work with producers and developers from the earliest stages: creating music briefs, liaising with composers, helping on contractual matters and ensuring accurate royalty collection. She also works closely with Accorder’s composers, supporting both emerging and established talent ensuring they are maximising their credit opportunities and music royalties.

Anne is now actively involved in shaping television and film music policy, sitting on various industry committees; including on the board of the Music Publishers’ Association, a member of the PRS’s Operational Group, Commercial Advisory Group, and Pop Publishers’ Committee and the industry-wide organisation Royal Television Society.
