RTS NW Student Networking Event

RTS North West annual student networking day once again returns to Dock10 at Media City.
This informative networking day provides those students, studying or living in the North West, access to key professionals and production companies in the region – aimed specifically at those graduating this year, or recent graduates. Previous attendees have gone on to secure jobs, placements and shadowing opportunities.
The morning comprises a number of panel sessions, highlighting possible roles across the TV genres and specialisms, suggestions of routes into the screen and radio sector along with a focus on nurturing and developing soft skills, and networking techniques. Lunchtime sessions offer an opportunity to put networking to good use as screen sector professionals, agencies, producers and leaders of North West based employers will join for informal conversations and advice.
During the afternoon students are able to choose a preferred TV masterclass discipline, across a variety of genres and specialisms; from virtual production; scripted development; news and current affairs; sports; and entertainment. Attending the day will equip students with ideas of possible routes into early career roles, and connect them with industry bodies and employers, whilst also offering advice of how to navigate a freelance career. Tickets are issued on a first come first served basis, and are non-transferable.
Tickets for the evening RTS NW Student Awards are offered separately, and need to be applied for separately – these will be released once all nominees have been notified.
