RTS NI, in partnership with the UK Department for Business and Trade is delighted to host a special event on Tuesday 8th October to support the growth of the creative sector in Northern Ireland.

Join us at Erskine House, Chichester Street, Belfast on Tuesday 8 October from 9.45 to 1pm to hear from a panel of expert speakers from the UK Department for Business and Trade, Belfast City Council, UK Export Finance, Invest NI, Northern Ireland Screen and Sixteen South focussing on the support and opportunities available to our market and NI creative companies.

 

Key Speakers include:

Richard Elliott - Head of Creative Services,  DBT

Richard is Head of Creative Services at the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in the DBT NI Hub since its formation in 2022.  Working in collaboration with the DBT network, Richard’s role is focused on offering support solutions, commercial advice and guidance to assist companies to grow their export sales outside of Northern Ireland.  Richard’s experience is within both the Private and Public sector, an experienced Company Director and Business Development professional across Online Services, Marketing and Export Growth Strategies.

  

Brendan McGoran - Creative Industries Officer, Belfast City Council

Brendan McGoran is responsible for an extensive portfolio of projects that form Belfast City Council’s support structure for Belfast’s Creative and Digital Sector. Key sectors supported include Film, TV, Digital Content, Music, Immersive Technology, Cyber Security and Fintech. Following an Honours degree at Ulster University and a year at the University Of Wisconsin, Brendan worked in the creative sector, managing and producing a wide range of animation and digital content for the global marketplace. Brendan joined Belfast City Council in January 2004.

 

Dan McPartland - Export Finance Manager, UKEF

Dan McPartlan is the Export Finance Manager for North Yorkshire, Humberside, Teesside and Northern Ireland for UK Export Finance (UKEF), the world’s first Export Credit Agency.  Prior to joining UKEF in December 2021, Dan had spent 7 years working in Finance, including various roles at Skipton Building Society. Dan has extensive experience helping SME and Corporate businesses with funding and supporting them on their export growth journey.

  

Colin Williams - Creative Director, Sixteen South

Colin Williams is a BAFTA winning children's television creator, showrunner and writer. He founded Sixteen South Studios in 2007 and his work can be seen on all major networks across the globe, including Disney Junior, CBeebies and Hulu. Colin and his company have won over 50 international awards including two Emmy’s and a BAFTA.   

 

 

Capacity is limited so attendance and places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis so early registration is advised.
