Michael Palin always wanted to be an explorer, but thought he might have been destined for a life of silliness.

The Phileas Fogg challenge of Around the World in 80 days led to Pole to Pole, which led to Full Circle, which led to the Hemingway Adventure which led to Sahara, Himalaya and Brazil…….… suddenly Michael found that he had a half-dozen very full passports and personal acquaintance with over eighty countries.

Michael has enabled millions to share in his curiosity about the world, learning through him as he goes along.

So, after 25 years on the road, what has he learnt about the world, and about putting it on television?

Speakers

Michael Palin CBE FRGS
