PRODUCTION UNLOCKED 2024
BBC Academy is back in Bristol with Production Unlocked in January 2024 (23rd and 24th) and is partnering with The National Film and Television School to deliver a series of two day face to face and blended events.
The event will feature a full programme of masterclasses from industry professionals, skills workshops from leading subject specialists and panel discussions on the latest hot topics! There will be a networking event on the evening of 23rd January, kindly supported by Gorilla Post Production.
The skills workshops will focus on the TV production disciplines of cameras, editing, production management, directing and storytelling. The workshops will be delivered by both BBC Academy staff and freelance trainers who are at the top of their game and acknowledged industry experts.
All events are free to attend and are open to freelancers working in the TV industry. The events are aimed at professionals who are looking to broaden their knowledge and experience and therefore advance their career development.
The Ups and Downs of Being a Freelancer, 23rd January, 1-2pm
This session, in association with RTS Futures, aims to provide insight and practical tips that will help prepare you for working in the screen industries. Looking at both formal and informal interviews, this session will delve into how to come across as the best version of yourself, how to network effectively and how to navigate setbacks and move forward.
