With over 18 years industry experience, James is a leading figure in the innovation world and responsible for developing the Freesat platform to offer innovative new services and features. Previously, James’ role as Cisco’s Director of Business Development made him the architect of European IPTV strategies for one of the most successful companies in the IPTV sector. In 2005, James became the director of sales for OpenTV, a widely deployed middleware, simultaneously managing a portfolio of high-profile accounts including BSkyB, Virgin, TDC and Viasat. James’ interest in IPTV is long established, with his first specialized role in IPTV in 2001 as Product Manager and subsequently Business Development Manager at Pace Micro Technology. James managed major accounts in global digital cable, terrestrial, satellite and IPTV, creating deals in global vertical and retail markets.
