The BBC One period drama is the latest show to be discussed in our Anatomy of a Hit series

The television series Poldark was a huge hit, peaking with nearly 10 million viewers and sparking an unlikely national debate about topless scything. The eagerly awaited next series will be airing later this year, this time with 10 episodes.

Tickets are free for RTS and RTS Student members. Tickets cost £12.50 for non members Click here to book

Poldark: Anatomy of a Hit will tell the inside story of how Winston Grahams' acclaimed 18th century drama was adapted for the screen. The panel includes Debbie Horsfield, the writer who turned to the books into television scripts, as well as the the producers and actors who brought that writing to life.

This event, lavishly illustrated with clips, will reveal a rare glimpse of the creative process. It will be a masterclass in the making of a hit.

Jack Farthing, Actor
Debbie Horsfield, Writer
Karen Thrussell, Executive Producer, Mammoth Screen
