As broadcasters agonise over online business models, the competition has long been in the field, delivering content anytime, anyplace and all for free: the Internet pirates. What can we learn from these illegal innovators and how can we fight them?

Justin Le Patourel, Head of Copyright at OFCOM, will present new figures on the scale of illegal market and explain how the Digital Economy Act - when finally implemented - will attempt to address the problem. The Federation Against Copyright Theft will demonstrate how the pirate networks steal and redistribute valuable television content and explains how it tackles the problem.

A panel of industry executives will reflect on the threat to the legitimate industry and its proper response

Speakers

Justin Le Patourel, Head of Copyright, OFCOM

Kieron Sharp, Director General, Federation Against Copyright Theft

John McVay, Chief Executive, PACT

Liz Rosenthal, Founder & CEO, Power to the Pixel
