These are extraordinary times we live in and it takes a different way of thinking for normal things to happen. The way we interact with each other, the way news is reported and how a media conference is conducted during social distancing.

The Royal Television Society is always eager to embrace new technology and new ways of approaching our ever-changing life. This is important now, more than ever.

On Wednesday 6th May at 7pm RTS Isle of Man will host our first online Zoom event. We will look at how media conferences are run on a virtual platform, what technology is needed and what is involved in putting these on every day.

Hosted by Ms Beth Espey, who will be talking to Alex Bell: BBC North West, Josh Stokes: ITV, and Paul Moulton: PMC Television. You will have a chance to ask questions, interact with the journalists and find out what it's really like to report the news during a global pandemic.
